Bell Pottinger breached code on Guptas, says UK body

A UK body has found that Bell Pottinger did breach the code of conduct of the Public Relations and Communications Association with its work for the Guptas in South Africa.

Democratic Alliance spokesperson Phumzile Van Damme said they had received confirmation that their complaint stands, and Bell Pottinger would now be given five days to appeal the decision if it so chooses.

“PRWeek can confirm that the association's professional practices committee has concluded that Bell Pottinger has breached the trade body's code of conduct in its work for controversial South African client Oakbay Investments,” the online PR publication reported on Thursday.
