From becoming a star on social media to singing with super star Amanda Black, Sindisiwe Magoso’s music career has certainly taken off this year.

Magoso (18), popularly known by her stage name La Sauce, shot to fame after being discovered on social media.

The young songstress was signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment and her first song, Independent, gave her her big break.

The Durban-born songstress first caught people’s attention when her unique voice featured on popular DJ Miss Pru’s Phumelela.

The soft-spoken singer said she realised that she was talented from a young age, even though she had other things that kept her busy – like school work.

“My message to the youth is to respect their craft and also go to school,” she said.

Magoso made her name with the release of her debut single, Cooler Bag.

Following Cooler Bag, she gave the nation the beautiful love anthem titled I Do where she featured award-winning singer Amanda Black.

The music video was well received by her fans and music lovers.

“My relationship with Amanda Black is everything because we used to hang out a lot when I first arrived in Johannesburg,” she said.

The multi-talented singer wants to work with many artists around Africa and has plans to release more music in the coming year and tour around the country to connect with her fans.

“I am not a hip-hop singer, as a lot of people say, but I am a pop singer for now,” she said.

Magoso said that she will venture into other genres as time goes by.

Her album will be out soon and it will be about a young girl telling a story, from relationships to the ups and downs of life.
