Three men would appear in court in connection with the murder of eThekwini Municipality councillor Wiseman Mshibe, police said today.

“The provincial task team that investigates high-profile cases has arrested three men between the ages of 30 and 32,” said Brigadier Phindile Radebe.

They were arrested on Wednesday night and would appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.

Mshibe, an ANC councillor, was shot dead at his Montclair home last week.

Although wounded five times, he managed to drive to the KFC in Montclair for help. Someone took him to St Augustine’s Hospital, but he later died.

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamunye Ngobeni commended the police for arresting the three men.
