Johannesburg - TV darling Minenhle “Minnie” Dlamini has ditched her manager of four years.

City Press understands that Dlamini and her longtime manager, Pumza Nohashe, were fighting over money.

Sources close to the two claim Dlamini was “unhappy” about how her former manager handled her finances. “Unfortunately, it didn’t end well. Nohashe was like a big sister to Minnie, and they used to work very well together,” said a source close to Dlamini.

Nohashe confirmed to City Press on Saturday that she had not been managing Dlamini since April.

“I’m going overseas for a project that I have been working on for the past few years,” Nohashe said.

She refused to answer questions about whether their disagreement had been money related.

“Minnie and I have always had a sisterly relationship. I’m still part of the Minnie Dlamini Foundation,” she said.

Another source close to Dlamini’s new management team said that her new sponsor, Nedbank, was bitterly unhappy about all the drama in Dlamini’s private life. The source said Nedbank has told the management team that it might even fire the TV star.

Jarred Doyle, head of Dlamini’s new management company, refused to comment or say why Dlamini had left Nohashe, but said he was proud to announce Dlamini as his new client.

In an emailed response, Dlamini said: “This year I will be turning 25 and I feel more in control of my business and brand affairs.

“This is a strategic move for me, as I plan on opening my own talent agency one day to assist young South Africans in achieving their dreams.”
