The annual Mzansi Fela Festival is back with a bang! The 10th instalment of the festival boasts headline acts such as Thandiswa Mazwai, and jazz musicians Caiphus Semenya and Letta Mbulu.

The festival, which takes place at the State Theatre in Pretoria, started on December 8 and will end on December 23.

It has become one of the most-anticipated festivals of the year and includes music, dance, theatre, poetry and comedy by local artists. This occasion, which initially started as a five-day event, has now developed into a 20-day festival and attracts more than 10 000 people each year.

The incomparable Thandiswa Mazwai put her soul into her concert on Friday and wowed the crowd. Here are some photos from her incredible performance:
