The meme goes like: Run like Ryan Gosling is waiting for you at the finish line. And this Saturday sunglasses brand Oakley will have the creatively talented Hakim Malema host their global One Obsession campaign 12km run. This is the second part of the community activation of which the first was hosted last weekend in Krugersdorp.

Since the inception of the campaign in 2015 in the States the brand has travelled all around the world celebrating people who make time and sacrifices for their sporty obsessions and passion, whether professional or as a side thing pursued with vigour. Now they have landed on South African shores.

To kick off the campaign in South Africa, Oakley teamed up with Ryan Sandes, who is a professional trail runner, cyclist and entrepreneur Wandile Zondo and Hakim Malema who is an avid runner but also one of the brains behind fitness brand MethodMode.

Last Saturday Zondo hosted the first community activation part of the campaign which took place in Kagiso. The weekend saw a group invited to join Zondo on a 15km to 20km bike ride. These events are by invitation only.

Four City Press readers will have the opportunity to join Malema on the 12km run this weekend and win a hamper.
