The last time Sibusiso “DJ Sbu” Leope was on a national radio station was back in 2015, before he was controversially fired by Metro FM for promoting his energy drink, MoFaya.
Now, the popular radio anchor is taking over the Radio 2000 breakfast show as the station bids farewell to Glen Lewis, real name Mpotseng Tshinaba, who has reportedly joined Kaya FM.

According to a statement released by the station, for now the breakfast show will remain nameless and listeners will get a chance to help come up with a suitable name. For now, the 6am to 9am slot is dubbed #NoNameBreakfastShow.
The statement read:
The former Friends Like These presenter took to his Facebook page to share the news with his followers also revealing that he signed the contract on Thursday.

After being fired from Metro FM, Leope launched an online radio station called Massive Metro in May 2017. However, it closed shop last year. There were reports that the station would face liquidation for failing to pay its debts. DJ Sbu currently has a YouTube podcast called The Hustler's Corner, and MoFaya, which is also a Miss SA partner, is growing as it is also available at Makro, among other stores.
Another surprise element to the station's new line-up is that the man of many hits, Cleopas Monyepao, known as DJ Cleo, will be spearheading a new dance show called The Eskhaleni Party on Fridays from 10pm to midnight.
So excited that my fave @djcleo1 is back on radio in less than a week! Love your focus, work ethic & purposefulness! ???? #Eskhaleni pic.twitter.com/o4rWkuMxLK

Besides the forced breakfast show changes, the rest of the line-up remains unchanged. Contrary to speculations, presenter Penny Lebyane remains on the radio station on the same Sunday 3pm to 6pm slot.
