First, the senior leaders in the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party) fought over positions and party lists – and now the party's newly formed youth structure has also descended into factional fighting.
Earlier this week, Jabulani Khumalo, the expelled "founder" of the MK Party moved to suspend former president Jacob Zuma who he claims was not the head of the party or its founder but a mere consultant who helped with its formation.
He wrote to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to ask that Zuma be removed from the party's candidate lists of representatives for Parliament.
