An appeal by Vantage Goldfields SA (VGSA) to get rid of an interested buyer of the Lily and Barbrook mines in Mpumalanga might be delayed after the company asked for an extension to submit its documents to the Supreme Court of Appeal.

VGSA’s decision to request the extension came after its lawyers, Mervyn Taback Incorporated, withdrew from representing it.

The company is appealing an Mbombela High Court ruling that declared Arqomanzi, the potential buyer of Lily and Barbrook mines in Louisville outside Barberton, the biggest creditor of VGSA.
