Call for nominations to serve on EAPASA board

The Board of the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) hereby invites nominations for Seven (7) persons to be considered for appointment to the Board.

The election of Board members will take place at the first General Meeting of the Association on 07 February 2020.

Requirements: EAPASA requires Board members who wish to promote quality assurance, transformation and effective governance in the practice of environmental assessment in South Africa.

Two thirds of the Board must meet the requirements for registration as Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs).

Board members should further be experienced in one or more of the following competencies: 

• Leadership, ethics, and/or corporate governance

• Legal, finance, audit and/or risk management

• Business development and human resources

• Research/innovation in environmental assessment an added advantage.

The Board welcomes nominations from professionals with any of the four listed competencies above who are not EAPs, for the remaining one third of Board membership.

Consistent with the EAPASA Constitution, the Board composition must include at least six people who are female and at least seven people who are Historically Disadvantaged Individuals.
