GALLERY: Family & friends say farewell to Palesa Madiba & Zestah September

Family and friends gathered in Soweto this morning to mourn the loss of UJ student Palesa Madiba, whose bones were found three years after she went missing.

Madiba went missing on August 9, 2013, after she had spent the weekend at a friend's house in Phiri.

Her remains were found on December 16 when police received an anonymous tip-off.

She was born in Diepkloof on November 7, 1992 and in 2011 enrolled for a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting at UJ.

Madiba will be laid to rest on Monday.

In a separate incident, Zestah September was laid to rest this morning after she was killed by her soldier boyfriend late last year.

September's body was found burnt beyond recognition on the side of the road in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.

Friends and family came out to say a final farewell to Zestah September this morning in Lenasia.
Some wore t-shirts with Septembers's face on it and the word's "Justice4Zestah".
The funeral service of Zestah September was held on Saturday, January 9 2016 at the Lenisa Cemetery. September's body was burnt and mutilated when it was found by a jogger near a military camp in Lenasia.
