Two pregnant stars of local reality show Diski Divas made the fur fly in Kaya FM’s studio on Friday night, slapping each other while live on air.

Now Nonhle Ndala, who is Andile Jali’s girlfriend, and a draw card for the show, has laid a charge of assault against Wendy Parker, wife of Bernard Parker, claiming she will not allow herself to be “violated”.

Ndala has also threatened to leave the show.

The catfight erupted after a heated argument, during which Parker told Ndala she wasn’t a spouse and shouldn’t be on the show. Ndala sniped back that the “other girls on the show were not on her level”.

Ndala is alleged to have slapped Parker, who retaliated before Kaya FM Home Straight hosts Mosibodi Whitehead and Sotho Meyer (née Lenkoe) separated the two women.

Whitehead and Meyer were forced to call for an emergency ad break shortly after the mêlée.

“There was some slapping and I separated the girls. We are not blaming anyone, but we don’t support that kind of behaviour,” said Meyer.

“We didn’t like that they chose to fight on our platform.”

Ndala, who has earned a reputation as a superbitch and troublemaker on the show, has laid a charge of assault against Parker at the Parkview Police Station in Johannesburg, claiming that Parker had attacked her first.

“She stood up from her chair and she slapped me. She pulled my hair and, when I told her I won’t fight back because I’m pregnant, she said she didn’t care if I lost my child,” Ndala told City Press.

Jali’s girlfriend accused fellow diva Katlego Mohoaduba (23), the ex-girlfriend of Jimmy Tau, who was also present, of “violating” her.

Ndala further accused her fellow divas on the show of “taking things personally”, saying it was “just a show”.

“I’m traumatised and in distress. My life is at risk.

“I’m not going to continue with the show. I’m done,” she said.

But Parker insisted that Ndala had attacked her first. The 31-year-old said she had heard that Ndala had laid a charge against her, but she was still waiting for details.

Parker said she became upset after Ndala said that the other ladies on the show were not on her level.

“I wouldn’t allow any woman to belittle other women,” she said.

Parker added that Ndala did not show respect for anyone.

“She judges people by what they have ... If you don’t have a luxury car or money, you don’t qualify to be her friend,” she added.

Diski Divas follows the lives of five soccer Wags. It also features Teko Modise’s ex-wife, Felicia, and Gaositwe “Gigi” Pule, Tokelo Rantie’s wife. The show first aired on April 12.

The catfight comes amid claims that Ndala has been instructed to act like a diva to build up interest in the show. According to sources, the 31-year-old doesn’t really hate her rival Wags, but it has been scripted to appear as if she does.

However, Parker, Mohoaduba and Modise (29) insist that the show is not scripted – even though the cameras were rolling in the Kaya FM studio.

Parker said they were told “to be themselves” and she would leave the show if she found out that it was scripted.

Mohoaduba also denied that the show was scripted. “I’m fed up with Nonhle. She disrespected me when she said that I was following Tau with taxis ... We’ve asked for meetings with Nonhle so we can confront her about all these accusations, and she’s been ducking and diving.”

This was supported by Modise. “As far as I know, the show is not scripted. It is no secret that Nonhle doesn’t like me. She looks down on other people. I don’t understand why Nonhle doesn’t like me because I met her on the show. The only thing I know about Nonhle is that she’s friends with my ex-husband’s fiancée, Lizelle Tabane.

“Nonhle doesn’t like anyone on the show, except Gigi,” she said.

Modise added that Ndala was a diva both on and off the set.

Ndala refused to comment about whether she had been instructed to behave like a diva.

“It would be premature for me to comment about the show while we are still shooting,” she said.

But sources say the latest fracas is proof that Ndala’s character has been created by the producers, Red Pepper.

“These poor girls are in the dark and they have no clue that Ndala is just ‘acting’ on the show,” said an insider.

“Ndala was told to be a diva of note to get people talking. She is the captain of the ship and without her the show would be boring,” said another source.

M-Net and Red Pepper refused to comment on the claims.
