Prisoners at Barberton Maximum B Correctional Centre in Mpumalanga have accused authorities of exposing them to the risk of contracting the Covid-19 coronavirus by failing to provide protection and follow regulations.
They claimed that they had been screened only once since the outbreak of the virus in the country and had never been given any masks.
Only hand sanitisers were available, they alleged, but the taps had no water between 5.30am and 6pm.
