Opposition parties have criticised President Cyril Ramaphosa’s update on the government’s response to dealing with the Covid-19 coronavirus, saying he did not give details about what level 3 would look like.

The DA has gone beyond criticising his speech by going to court to challenge the rationality of aspects of the Disaster Management Act, under which regulations are promulgated.

Ramaphosa announced that most metros with low infection rates would ease into level 3 of the lockdown by the end of May.
