President Jacob Zuma's recall of Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene last night seemed to be the final straw for many South Africans.
#ZumaMustFall has been trending on social media site Twitter since Zuma announced that ANC MP David van Rooyen would be replacing Nene.
In a statement released by the presidency, Zuma didn't give details, but said: “Nene has done well since his appointment as minister of finance during a difficult economic climate.”
Nene will be deployed to another “strategic position”.

I never agreed with Nene policies inherited from GEAR framework but one thing I know about him is that he an honest man - not a thief

The rand took a hit following Zuma's statement and by 10am was trading at R15.05 to the US Dollar.
The Twitterverse felt it was time for a new leader:
President Zuma has again proven himself to be a President incapable of making the right decisions.
