Last year, #Trending came up with the Zodwa Wabantu Leadership Award to celebrate South Africans who are extra.

Naturally, the first winner was Zodwa Wabantu herself. This year’s Zodwa Wabantu Leadership Award goes to none other than our beloved VVIP funeral artist and facilitator of national mourning periods, Lebani “Rasta” Sirenje.

Why? Because, despite being teased, criticised and dragged on social media for his unique interpretation of our late stars, Rasta is tenacious, confident, authentic and determined to share his talent with Mzansi.

Rasta, we take our hats off to you and hope in future to be as bold and unshaken by criticism as you.

Moja Love's drug-busting show, Sizokuthola, is back in hot water after its presenter, Xolani Maphanga's assault charges of an elderly woman suspected of dealing in drugs upgraded to attempted murder. In 2023, his predecessor, Xolani Khumalo, was nabbed for the alleged murder of a suspected drug dealer. What's your take on this?
