TV and radio personality Bonang Matheba – or Queen B – seems unperturbed by fans calling her a home wrecker following allegations of a five-month affair with rapper AKA.

Matheba arrived in Botswana’s capital for a function at the Gaborone International Convention Centre on Friday.

“Touchdown Gaborone!!” she tweeted, adding two smiley faces.

On Thursday, house deejay Zinhle Jiyane’s bombshell accusation that her child’s father, AKA – real name Kiernan Forbes – cheated on her with Matheba while Jiyane was pregnant whipped up a storm of online vitriol.

Ironically, Matheba dispenses relationship advice on her show on Metro FM called The Front Row.

One Twitter user said: “Pardon me Metro FM, but we cannot have Bonang Matheba giving relationship advice to anyone at this point in her life.”

Metro FM did not respond to requests for comment on whether the show’s future could be in jeopardy.

Over the past few weeks, DJ Zinhle’s Twitter timeline has been peppered with cryptic messages that now make sense.

On August 14, she wrote: “They destroy families andamp; then tweet about it. Fix it Jesus!”

In an emotional tell-all blog post, Jiyane (31) said Forbes admitted to the affair with Matheba (28) a week before she gave birth to their daughter, Kairo, on July 8.

“A week before our daughter was born, I found out about an affair between Kiernan (the father of my child) and Bonang Matheba,” she wrote.

“I also received confirmation of all rumours through an honest conversation I had with Kiernan, who confirmed that the affair had been going on for over five months.”

She concluded: “I will always respect him for his honesty ... I stand firm in my decision to support Kiernan on his role as a father to my child and a member of my extended family.”

Apparently, Matheba and Forbes hooked up at the BET awards in Los Angeles and added clandestine jaunts to the Durban July and the Loerie Awards in Durban in August.

Both Matheba and Forbes have denied the allegations, and Matheba said she was referring the matter to her “legal team”.

“Bonang is in good spirits and looking forward to the premiere of her E! News Special,” said her publicist, Zoe Msutwana

Moja Love's drug-busting show, Sizokuthola, is back in hot water after its presenter, Xolani Maphanga's assault charges of an elderly woman suspected of dealing in drugs upgraded to attempted murder. In 2023, his predecessor, Xolani Khumalo, was nabbed for the alleged murder of a suspected drug dealer. What's your take on this?
