Republic of Extra Cold president Pearl Thusi and her esteemed ministerial cabinet sure know how to throw a great party.

Thusi was joined by Boity Thulo as minister of drip, Ayanda MVP as minister of beats, Donovan Goliath as minister of vibes and Junior Khoza as minister of summer bods.

After weeks of patiently waiting for the Republic of Extra Cold to announce its secret venue, it turned out to be none other than the Atlantic Ocean and the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Party-goers travelled in style aboard luxury yachts, jet skis and helicopters to witness an epic water display delivered in Castle Lite Extra Cold style.

Thusi ramped up the revellers’ joy when she announced that every Republic of Extra Cold citizen with a passport would get six-pack of Castle Lite delivered to their home every month for the year.

Thulo opened the night’s festivities with her popular song Bakae, which many sang along to.

Rapper YoungstaCPT and DJ Lyle also delivered splendid performances, while DJ Zinhle absolutely brought the house on fire with her hit number Umlilo. Thusi joined her BFF on stage and twerked for the crowd!

Ayanda MVP later held it down on the decks to complete a night sun, sea and extra cold refreshment.

The excited Thusi said she couldn’t be prouder to be president of the republic.

“I want to thank all citizens for their endearing support. From myself, your fierce president; your extra cold cabinet of ministers; and, of course, Castle Lite, thank you coming to the coolest place to be this summer. Let’s do it again next year!”

Moja Love's drug-busting show, Sizokuthola, is back in hot water after its presenter, Xolani Maphanga's assault charges of an elderly woman suspected of dealing in drugs upgraded to attempted murder. In 2023, his predecessor, Xolani Khumalo, was nabbed for the alleged murder of a suspected drug dealer. What's your take on this?
