Want to take your three best friends on an island vacation? Mauritius Tourism and City Press are giving you the chance to head out to the gorgeous island and get away from the SA winter for a little bit. Following the past four weeks, where we told you more about what you can experience on this trip, here are the clues you need to help you win the competition.

Over the past four weeks, #Trending has been dropping clues to help you win a holiday in the warmth and beauty of Mauritius. Below are hints to those four clues that you need to illustrate on Instagram. Read competition rules and instructions below. Good luck!

Sunday, April 21 edition:

So you and your friends are going to stay at the beautiful and relaxing Veranda Tamarin hotel; jazz and swing musicians will liven up the sundowner sessions on the rooftop bar while you enjoy tropical fruit cocktails and let yourself go to the sound of the saxophone. Why not show us your Sega dance skills, which you can show off at Veranda Tamarin?

Sunday, April 28 edition:

The beautiful, tiny island of Mauritius has an amazingly rich and assorted food culture, filled with inspirations from its mélange of inhabitants (Creole, French, Chinese and Indian). A terrific way to experience any country is through its food and Mauritius isn’t any different. The island is famed for dhal puri – a flatbread stuffed with a seasoned filling of ground split peas, a meal which many consider its national dish. Show us your cooking skills by learning how to make this dish.

Sunday, May 5 edition:

Mauritius isn’t just about its beaches; if you and your besties can tear yourselves away from the exotic sands just outside your delectable hotel for just a second, there are many things to do, including checking out historic sites and lush forests. Can you show us a drawing of a historical site you’re most excited to see?

Sunday, May 12 edition:

When going on a relaxing resort holiday, you want your clothes to be stylish but low maintenance. Besides, you only have so much room in your suitcase. You want to make sure you pack the right things and have enough room for those plain white tees, lightweight chinos and, most importantly, flattering swimsuits. Have a fun time styling each other and show us what you’ll be rocking on the island.

Moja Love's drug-busting show, Sizokuthola, is back in hot water after its presenter, Xolani Maphanga's assault charges of an elderly woman suspected of dealing in drugs upgraded to attempted murder. In 2023, his predecessor, Xolani Khumalo, was nabbed for the alleged murder of a suspected drug dealer. What's your take on this?
