Heritage Month might have come and gone, but we loved seeing beautifully designed, limited-edition, heritage-inspired products on our shelves.
Among them was fashion tycoon David Tlale’s work for Tastic rice.
Tlale designed special packs for the rice brand’s 2kg, 5kg and 10kg packs, which depicted the life of an everyday South African and, the brand says, “celebrates the character, texture and colours that make us who we are”.
Said Tlale: “In creating the pack, I was inspired by the colours and textures of the women I grew up around, iconic South African buildings, as well as the DNA of the House of David Tlale, which is all about structure, texture and drama.”
We also loved Kulula airlines’ collaboration with Nestlé KitKat, which they brought out its chocolate bars with 11 different wrappers for South Africa’s official greetings. The limited-edition KitKats are still available at leading supermarkets nationwide. – #Trending reporter
