Suzuki has an answer in the brand-new S-Presso. The range is priced from R134 900 to R160 900, making it the country’s most affordable car by far.
Suzuki classifies the S-Presso as an ultracompact SUV because of its high, upright stance and significant ground clearance – the distance between its belly and the road. Though it might be compact for an SUV, it’s roomy inside for a small hatchback and four large adults will fit into it. The boot, at 239 litres, is spacious for a car in this class and there’s a full-size spare wheel under the boot floor.
