Love at Second Swipe
Lifetime (DStv channel 131)
Thursday, 8pm

In this reality show, a life coach, style expert, make-up guru and hairdressers make over two people who are hoping to find love online. We ask Love at Second Swipe host Pabi Moloi some quickfire questions.

1. Why do you think people love makeover shows?
Makeover shows go to the core of so much of the dating scene. How we are seen versus how we see ourselves can be so different that, sometimes, we need someone to step in and speak the truth.

2. What makes Love at Second Swipe different to other makeover shows?
Our show is modern and fun. What makes Love at Second Swipe different and so fantastic is that we go below the surface to help people overcome real-life issues.

3. Without giving anything away, do you have a favourite moment on the show?
Yes! A man, a toupee and a challenge!

4. Can a TV show really help people find love?
In our modern world, anything can bring you closer to real love.

5. For those of us who can’t go on the show, what is your top makeover tip?
Ask a friend to be brutally honest with you – a friend who has style and is willing to help you reveal your best self. Be open to change.

Moja Love's drug-busting show, Sizokuthola, is back in hot water after its presenter, Xolani Maphanga's assault charges of an elderly woman suspected of dealing in drugs upgraded to attempted murder. In 2023, his predecessor, Xolani Khumalo, was nabbed for the alleged murder of a suspected drug dealer. What's your take on this?
