As a person prone to hormonal acne, I’m sceptical about trying out new products to help control this pest of a condition.

And like many that suffer from this type of acne, I’ve gone the good ol’ oral medication and contraceptives route, which was short-lived, mainly owing to my impatience and intolerance of the unpleasant side-effects that came with those treatments.

Consequently, I’ve stuck to products containing natural oils – and tea tree oil has been my go-to remedy until I recently tried out the BaoCare Acne Skincare solution.

With baobab oil as its main ingredient, and added tea tree oil, it works mainly to reduce acne and spots while keeping your skin hydrated and moisturised.

I’m a bit fussy about oil-based products and how greasy they can make your face look and feel, but what I liked and instantly noticed about BaoCare – which I’ve been using for the past three months – was how quickly my skin absorbed it without leaving any greasy residue on my face or hands.

What I also liked about it was how durable and long-lasting it was.

You only need to sprinkle two small drops on your hands and apply.

BaoCare comes in a range of four oil-based products for various skin problems. There’s Tissue Oil for stretch marks and scarring, Eczema Skincare for psoriasis and inflammation, Radiance to increase elasticity and boost collagen, as well as Baobab Oil with 100% baobab oil for all-round organic skin care.

I gladly recommend BaoCare Acne Skincare for anyone fighting stubborn and embarrassing acne. And there’s a bonus too: the product smells delightful and yields quick and noticeable results.

Moja Love's drug-busting show, Sizokuthola, is back in hot water after its presenter, Xolani Maphanga's assault charges of an elderly woman suspected of dealing in drugs upgraded to attempted murder. In 2023, his predecessor, Xolani Khumalo, was nabbed for the alleged murder of a suspected drug dealer. What's your take on this?
