It’s a demanding task to create an entire musical offering from scratch. Finding the inspiration, cultivating melodies, deciding on instruments, not to mention finding something worthwhile to say. Red Bull has orchestrated an EP loaded with more than six artists on four songs and they did it all in just two days, writes Phumlani S Langa

Red Bull has challenged a specially selected group of artists to create an EP in just 72 hours. The list includes a mixture of emerging talent as well as established names, among them Moonchild Sanelly.

A collaborative project, it challenges various artists to record and produce tracks in 72 hours – each is given 24 hours to complete their part in their home studio. One artist starts on day one, passes the track on to the second person on day two, who then passes it on to the third on day three. The project has to be completed by the end of the third day.
