After handing in his resignation to the SABC last week, Radio 2000 programme manager Christopher Choane described his 11-year stint at the public broadcaster in bitter terms. A former Lesedi FM sports producer, Choane had been with Radio 2000 for almost two years before deciding to leave.

“I can confirm that I am leaving the SABC after 11 years, to join Bokamoso FM in Lesotho. Speak to the SABC for further comment as I am still an employee until Friday [May 29],” Choane said.

Two well-placed sources close to him told City Press that he had been through hell at Radio 2000.
