#Trending loves the new coffee cup designs of Wild Bean Cafe, revealed a couple of weeks ago.

The popular coffee brand called for entrants to create a new look, limited-edition cup that would be available to coffee lovers at their cafés across South Africa.

The brief asked designers to share how a cup of Wild Bean Cafe coffee inspires and adds to their everyday African vibe.

Tannah Renou, a second-year graphic design student from Vega school in Durban took both first and third spots, and says she was inspired by the bright colour combinations of the various cultures in South Africa.

“I wanted to tell the story of coffee as it is experienced by South Africans throughout their day,” she said about her designs.

The second winner, Barry Beukes, who is in his third year of studying graphic design at Vega, is an experienced photographer who loves to travel through the rural parts of Africa, embracing and capturing different cultures.

“I took inspiration from different African patterns and textures from my photographs,” he said.

The two winners received an Apple MacBook Pro with a one-year Adobe Creative Cloud licence.

And we get to sip delicious coffee out of their beautiful cups for some weeks to come.
