The removal of President Jacob Zuma from office has been a popular topic the past few weeks. Here are your thoughts on whether his term will be cut short:

The so-called president must leave the office by July.

Jacob Zuma must at all costs, irrespective of the current impasse, finish his term for the sake of the steady development of this country, and for the recovery and growth of the economy. Any attempt to recall him at this stage will be highly irresponsible and disastrous. We, as the clergy, are also to blame for the mess this country is in, and the undue stress and strain the president has to endure from time to time. We have failed in our calling and spiritual responsibility towards him by joining the choir of displaced and rogue criticisms, instead of prayerfully and with godly wisdom rallying around to support him and, if the need arises, giving constructive criticism and direction. That is our godly duty.

If you expected the ANC to do something about Zuma, think again. This is Africa. This is how things go after the liberation. Black Africans, the sooner we accept our fate, the better – doomed for life by our own.

The ANC is responsible for allowing its presidents to plunder our country and let our people die. They are in it for themselves, not for the people. They are selling out our country.

If the local government elections take place, the ANC will do badly enough for Zuma to step down on grounds of ill health. This will probably be in exchange for immunity from prosecution. Mondli Makhanya is right: it will be a miracle if Zuma makes it to 2017 still at the helm.
