Thoko Didiza: I’m a resident of Tshwane, I don’t feel foreign

accreditation

ANC mayoral candidate for Tshwane Thoko Didiza said it is sad that communities, “no matter the level of disgruntlement, can engage in acts of violence”.

She said, at a press conference yesterday, she hoped to find strategies to resolve conflict without destroying the assets that benefit the community.

This follows days of unrest in the capital city after the ruling party announced Didiza as its candidate.

Protests flared up in Mamelodi, Atteridgeville, Soshanguve and Giyani, leaving five dead and shops looted.
