DA questions Covid-19 figures in the Northern Cape

The DA in the Northern Cape has accused the provincial department health of poor contact tracing and testing, as well as a lack of transparency when dealing with the Covid-19 coronavirus, and is calling on Health Minister Zweli Mkhize to intervene.

“We appeal to Dr Mkhize to visit the Northern Cape. We suspect that what he will find here will be similar to what he found in the Eastern Cape in the form of an ill-prepared provincial government response to Covid-19,” the DA’s provincial leader Andrew Louw said.

He said the worrying factor was that the number of cases in the province seems to have stagnated.
