Anti-apartheid activist, author and historian Dr Motsoko Pheko has passed away.

Motsoko Pheko, a prominent figure in South Africa's struggle against apartheid, former PAC leader and a prolific writer, passed away on Friday, 19 April 2024, at the age of 93.

Spokesperson for the family, Zandi Radebe, confirmed Pheko's passing, but could not disclose the cause of death at this time. She said the family convened on Saturday evening to discuss arrangements.
