After advancing to the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup at the expense of neighbours Polokwane City, Baroka FC will fancy their chances of progressing to the quarterfinals when they face ABC Motsepe League side Hungry Lions next weekend.

Courtesy of their 1-0 victory over provincial rivals Polokwane City on Tuesday night Baroka FC took to nine the number of premier division sides that have progressed to the last 16

Percy Nxumalo came off the bench to net what proved to be the decider in the Limpopo derby at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Bakgaga ba ga Mphahlele will face the Northern Cape club that upstaged Jomo Cosmos in the last 32 at the weekend.

Also on Tuesday, an odd goal secured ABC Motsepe League side Happy Wanderers a place in the second round of the Ke Yona competition.

The KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit edged out fellow third-tier opponents Zizwe United 1-0 at Athlone Stadium to set up a meeting with NFD campaigners TS Sporting.

The aforementioned fixtures were the only outstanding games after the last 16 draw was conducted on Monday.

So far, the pick of the fixtures is the Gauteng derby between Highlands Park and Kaizer Chiefs.

Mamelodi Sundowns received a relatively easy fixture against the Vaal University of Technology but the Gauteng SAB Regional League campaigners have already underlined their capabilities by eliminating Premiership side Golden Arrows in the first round.
