Does size really matter?

Size shouldn’t, and often doesn’t, matter. There is no connection between size and sexual satisfaction.

In many studies, other factors, such as being physically attracted to your partner and being in a healthy, happy relationship, rate higher in terms of importance than size. And yet, the size of the penis has been a source of anxiety for many men the world over.

In recent years, the size of the vagina has also come under scrutiny, creating unnecessary angst for women. The vagina is elastic. The walls fold in when it is unused and expand when the need arises. To be honest, I don’t understand why there’s a fixation on size when only 30% of women reach climax through penetration. The majority need clitoral stimulation. The fixation, in my opinion, should be on finding and stimulating
the clitoris.

Penis sizes

This is not to say that we do not have preferences as individuals. While some like it smaller than “average” (this is said to be between 14cm and 16cm long with a 12cm girth), others enjoy it slightly bigger. But no size can outweigh enthusiasm and an eagerness to please your partner while satisfying yourself.

There are all sorts of fun positions to try for whatever size you may have. If you’re average, you’re fortunate in that you are free to experiment with a variety of positions. If you deem yourself smaller than average, doggy style is a great way to penetrate her deeply and get maximum satisfaction, while
girl-on-top is ideal for those who are bigger. This allows her to control the pace and depth of penetration.

Vaginal size

The average measurements are just over 9cm long and 2cm wide, with a range of “normal” sizes bigger and smaller than this. Muscle weakness may result in a feeling of “looseness”. This can, in most instances, be easily rectified with Kegel exercises. This will not only tighten the pelvic floor muscles, but will increase your chance of reaching orgasm during partner sex. These are the muscles you use to stop your urine flow.

Find them this way, but never do them during a pee because this can lead to infection. Exercise the muscles while driving, doing your chores or even during a meeting. My point is, they can be done anywhere, anytime and no one would be any wiser.

Hold or clench the muscles for 3 to 5 seconds, then release. Repeat this fifteen times. Do three sets daily. You should feel a difference in three to six weeks.

Whatever your size, don’t fret it. Learn to enjoy what you have. The right attitude will go a long way to getting your needs met while also meeting those of your partner. Enthusiasm outweighs skill and size any day.

The DA recently released a controversial election ad in which the national flag is consumed by flames. Many took to social media to criticise the party, with former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela expressing disappointment, saying the DA could have used other ways to send its message. Do you think the DA took it too far with this ad?
