The 6th annual DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival is back and as usual, the line-up is far from disappointing.
The event is set to take place on 22 and 23 September and has become the Springtime outdoor music attraction in Johannesburg.
Expect to be serenaded by the likes of Erykah Badu, Lira, Simphiwe Dana and Amanda Black who will all grace the main stage offering powerful performances as leading women and forming part of the festival's celebration of Womandla.
While Badu may be the festival’s most anticipated international act, audiences will also be entertained by other international acts including New Zealand’s renowned multi-instrumentalist Jordan Rakei, Germany’s Jazzanova and by British band D'Influence.
Grammy award-winning US producer and DJ Louie Vega will be setting the stage on fire as he heads up the Vodacom Dance Arena stage, which will be hosted by Oskido and Kaya FM.
SA favourites DJ Fresh, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Christos, Greg Maloka and New York City-born Todd Terry will complement Vega on the same stage where they’ll keep the dance floor burning.
While the festival attracts music lovers from all over the country it also brings out the food lovers who will be spoiled for choice this year at the Delicious Mile, the festival’s gourmet street food market.

Look forward to pop-up stalls and food trucks as well as the Coca-Cola Taste of the City, a section decorated with eight pop-up restos that will serve up their flagship dishes.
To give you a little taste of what to expect, in addition to all of this, we spoke with celebrity chef and award-winning restaurateur Reuben Riffel who will also be at the festival.
You’re returning to the festival after a much successful run. What can we expect this year?
Yes, last year was pretty amazing and I am returning to the festival this year and feeling quite excited about what we have in store.
We have a little bit more control over how we go about things this year and so we’re very excited for the long table restaurant set-up that we have planned with a delectable Spring menu.
A long table does sound exciting indeed! Why choose that set-up this time around?
Well it’s all about having a good time really and creating a vibe where people can interact and enjoy food. We want to bring people together and this is a perfect way…people who have a common interest in music and food. Also, what better way of meeting new people!
Can you give us a little teaser of the menu?
Well we’re totally going along with the festive Spring vibe. We have very cool dips and salad combinations as well as tantalizing tapas.
We have chargrilled beef fillet with a sweet soy sauce, smoked trout, some salmon tarts and really many other things on the menu. It’s just going to be great!
A perfect way to celebrate during the Heritage weekend, the two-day festival is clearly not to be missed. It will be taking place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand and will also provide entrainment areas for younger attendees.
