Many readers are worried about the disruption of their exercise routine now that Covid-19 has hit our shores.

There is no evidence that gyms are more dangerous in terms of infection than any other public space.

Most gyms have amped up their hygiene and sanitation protocols, and there are tips and tricks you can follow to make your gym experience a safe one.

Nevertheless, it is still a safer option to self-quarantine. Luckily, there are dozens of ways of getting in a workout in the comfort of your own home.

My on-bed workout, first published in April 2017, remains a great way to make exercise fun. Plus the kids can join in on this one.

I must emphasise that hygiene is of importance at this time, therefore I advise that you get out of the clothes you used for this little sweat session as soon as possible.

For this workout, focusing on form – the way in which exercise is executed – is really important. Concentrate on squeezing your glutes while performing each move.

  • Beginner – do each workout 10 times
  • Intermediate – do each workout 15 times
  • Advanced – do each workout 20 times
