When former president Jacob Zuma announced his backing of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, he initially said the ANC's latest political opponent was established with his "knowledge and blessings".
But after kicking its founder, Jabulani Khumalo, to the curb, the party now claims the axed leader had registered the party on Zuma's behalf.
MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndlela revealed on Friday evening Khumalo and four others had been axed for "attempting to destabilise the party" in yet another leadership shake-up in the MK Party.
