EFF Gauteng MPL Mandisa Mashego is demanding answers from the MEC of Infrastructure and Development on the company that has been conducting maintenance at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.

She said the company has been doing water-proofing for over a year at the hospital.

“We also want to know, as a matter of urgency, if it’s an outright accident.” She added that the EFF has been receiving numerous complaints from the medical profession, particularly Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.

“It’s a coincidence that this happens now, because during this week we’ve been receiving a lot of worrying calls from the medical profession, particularly at this hospital.
