On Friday we caught up with Cape Town Executive Mayor Patricia de Lille at the Cape Town Stadium. Just hours before UCT students were set to march in protest for the removal of the Cecil Rhodes statue, we asked for her thoughts on the saga. Watch.

A planned march organised by 'Black Monday' campaigners took place on Friday at the university’s lower campus, the latest in a series of protests against the continued presence of the Rhodes statue, which included an incident of human waste being thrown at the statue.
