DA leader Mmusi Maimane met with protesting UCT students on Tuesday; watch as a group of protesters shouts for Maimane to leave campus.

This comes after Maimane had to cancel his visit to the University of Johannesburg (UJ) on Tuesday ahead of SRC elections.

"Our representatives at UJ met with management who did not grant permission for the leader to be on campus," his spokesperson Mabine Seabe told News24.

UCT remains closed as students protest proposed fee hikes.
