WATCH: Adjusting to the rules of Parliament was difficult for Winnie and I – Patricia de Lille

accreditation

Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille paid her last respects to struggle icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela at the St George's Cathedral in Cape Town on Tuesday.

De Lille and Marlene le Roux, CEO of the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town, lay flowers in the foyer of the cathedral where a collage of photos Madikizela-Mandela was displayed.

Flags will fly at half-mast on council-owned buildings in her honour, De Lille told the media.

De Lille said she regarded Madikizela-Mandela as a symbol of the resistance and a hero.
