For seven days South Africans listened with shock as former Bosasa chief operations officer Angelo Agrizzi detailed how the company allegedly bribed its way into state contracts.
Cape Town performer Faried Swartz gave the saga a musical spin, penning "Give Me a Tender".
The 43-year-old racked up more than 8 000 views on the satirical song based on Elvis Presley's beloved 1956 hit, "Love Me Tender".
"The lyrics usually come very easy to me," said Swartz who has been involved in musicals and cabaret entertainment for 25 years.
"It all started when Madame Speaker Baleka Mbete decided on the secret ballot for the motion of no confidence in Jacob Zuma. It sort of happened accidentally."
Swartz's first satirical song, "Secret Ballot", was a play on Atlantic Starr's 1985 hit, "Secret Lovers". Since then, Swartz has made more than a dozen parodies about the country's current affairs.
"It just makes me feel more connected to what is going on and allows me to keep up with what is happening in the country," he said.
