WATCH: Karabo Mokoena's friend shares their last moments together

accreditation

Karabo Mokoena’s friend shared the painful last moments she had with the 22-year-old, saying she sensed something was wrong after Mokoena saw her ex-boyfriend.

Neo Mahlabane spoke to hundreds of people gathered at the Diepkloof Hall in Soweto on Wednesday afternoon, revealing details of the alleged abuse her friend had undergone.

“We sat in the car examining her, checking her… there were only a few bruises and scratches left. But overall she had recovered.”

Mokoena was brutally murdered last month, allegedly by her ex-boyfriend, Sandile Mantsoe.

Her charred body was found in a shallow grave in the south of Johannesburg on April 29, after she was reported missing by family and friends on April 28.
