Julius Malema and the EFF leadership visited Robben Island on Wednesday on the invitation of the Ahmed Kathrada and Nelson Mandela Foundations, in honour of Uncle Kathrada's dying wish. Watch the media briefing above.

During his final days, Uncle Kathrada had expressed a wish to take the EFF leadership on a visit to Robben Island, however, it did not materialise.

In honour of this wish, the leadership of the two Foundations, together with Kathrada's widow, Barbara Hogan, and former Robben Islanders Laloo Chiba and Kgalema Motlanthe, took the EFF leadership on a three-hour tour of the prison island.
