Recent heavy rainfall in the Western Cape has seen several areas in Cape Town flooded, leavings dwellings and structures partially submerged in water.

The South African Weather Service predicted that maximum temperatures in Cape Town would remain in the mid-teens until Friday and another cold front was expected to pass over the western parts of South Africa. There would also be high seas along the coast - about 6m to 7m between Cape Columbine and Coffee Bay.

On Tuesday, Upmarket restaurant On The Rocks in Bloubergstrand, Cape Town, suffered structural damage as the storm carried away roof and furniture. Watch the video here.
