Cape Town - As the Western Cape's dam levels have dropped below 37%, the city of Cape Town says a “monumental effort” is needed to decrease Cape Town’s water consumption.
This after usage increased by nearly 20 million litres per day in one week, despite the intensifying water crisis in the province.
On Monday, 13 February 2017, dam levels dropped a further 1,2%, compared to last week. And with the last 10% of a dam’s water not being usable, dam levels are effectively at 26,2%.
