After announcing her upcoming studio album, Rainbow, early this year, Yamikani Banda, affectionately known as Lady Zamar, has wasted no time in giving fans a taste of her much-anticipated project.

The Thembisa-born star shares that she actually wanted to be a full-time lecturer and talks about the challenges she's faced since she burst into the mainstream entertainment industry in 2017, including being trolled and literally losing her voice, which she couldn't use to tell her side of the story and express herself musically.

The award-winning singer talks about finding love again, coming back stronger, and claiming back her voice and her narrative in her own terms. The album showcases Lady Zamar's vocal range and musical range. Having previously established herself in multiple genres, including pop, house and amapiano, her new single, Colours, shows that she’s now determined to push her musical flexibility even further, making her upcoming album a treat to her fans.

Her album is set to be out on 19 April 2024.
