EFF paints Constitutional Court red

accreditation

Thousands of Economic Freedom Fighters members marched from Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown to the Constitutional Court, where the Nkandla case is being heard, today.

Small groups from the Democratic Alliance and Cope were seen outside the court before proceedings began this morning.

The EFF marchers arrived at the court in high spirits this afternoon but the public order police barricaded the entrance with barbed wire.

EFF leader Julius Malema tried negotiating with police about moving the barricade and said the marchers would not disrupt proceedings.

The groups are now singing in solidarity for President Jacob Zuma to pay back some of the money used for upgrades to his Nkandla homestead.
