16:04 UPDATE: The discovery of two more bodies at the Central City Shopping Mall in Mabopane, north of Tshwane, today brings to five the number of people who have lost their lives since the start of the unrest on Sunday. This includes the two bodies found in Mamelodi yesterday as well as another person who was shot after a meeting in the Tshwane CBD and later died in hospital on Sunday.
One body was discovered in the Central City mall and the other was found in a nearby house. Police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza said they were not yet sure how the second person died.
Meanwhile, more than 150 people were arrested overnight, bringing the number of people arrested close to 200. They have been charged with public violence, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, possession of stolen property and malicious damage to property.
Kweza said the situation was "still calm but tense in some of the areas". Pockets of looting occurred last night especially in the Tshwane North area.
Police are appealing for calm and are continuing to monitor the situation.
15:06 UPDATE: Police have confirmed that there was no third body at the Mabopane Central City shopping centre.
This brings the death toll in Tshwane to five confirmed deaths.
12:26 UPDATE: Reporters have just been told that another body might be at the crime scene at Mabopane Central City shopping centre. This hasn't been confirmed.
Two bodies that were found this morning, have been taken away by forensic pathology vans.
One body was found in front of a back room at a house behind the shopping complex. Onlookers said the body had been there since last night at about 9pm. They said the man came running from the shopping centre, where he was shot during last night's looting, and hid at the house where he later died. The other body was found inside the centre.
The two bodies were only taken away around noon - more than 12 hours since the alleged shooting of looters.
Just like areas including Soshanguve and Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane remained tense with businesses closed amid the widespread looting.

11: 44 Two more people have been killed overnight in Tshwane, bringing the death toll to five since the unrest started.
The protests broke out after the ANC announced that former public works minister Thoko Didiza would be the party’s mayoral candidate for Tshwane.
The first death occurred on Monday and two more people were killed in Mamelodi on Tuesday during a looting spree.
