Foreign students, who came to South Africa on a bank loan with promises to obtain their commercial flying qualifications, have been left high and dry. They said the loans of approximately R1 million were easily granted because flight training in South Africa has such a good reputation. But since then, they claim, they have been let down by flight schools and local aviation authorities.
